PowerClaim XML 16a with 2006 Material Costs

Below is a summary of major features added since PowerClaim release 15:

  • Updated 2006 Insurance Repair database

  • New building types available in property valuation module

  • Increased regional cost modification accuracy to include 5-digit zip codes

  • Ability to better organize estimates by creating area groups

  • Ability to create macros from groups of line items

  • Ability to insert macros into areas or area groups

  • New Four Photo Sheet Report

  • Ability to conserve disk space by automatically resizing imported photos

  • Ability to apply custom logos to report letterheads

  • Ability to adjust estimate depreciation globally

  • Simplified the process of sending reports and claims by email

  • Ability to lookup claim addresses with internet mapping services

  • Ability to choose if tax is depreciated

  • Ability to store groups of reports for quick access

  • Improved coverage settings screen

  • Improved area dimensioning screen

The following are specific enhancements made since beta 9, the final beta release of PowerClaim 16:

VERSION Release 16a 2-3-06

CHANGED: Adjusted asphalt shingle prices in the insurance repair cost database.

CHANGED: Added ability to auto-scroll photo list while dragging photos.

FIXED: Ensured sorting of trades in the combo box at the bottom of the line item screen is alphabetical.

FIXED: Adjusted copying coverages between claims so that area sort order is always the same regardless of area type or other properties.

FIXED: Changed photo module to prevent error messages related to contrast and brightness adjustment.

FIXED: Changed time fields to prevent errors from bad input.

FIXED: Changed photo auto-incrementing to prevent possible overflow errors.

FIXED: Issue where coverages could change sort order when copied between databases is resolved.

FIXED: It is now easier to save new area descriptions with non-default types.

FIXED: Global Cost Change no longer has issues with apostrophes in item descriptions.

FIXED: Resolved a problem involving the exporting of subareas to XML files

FIXED: Fixed a problem in the data manager that made changes to area type difficult.
